Michael Puzo Welcomes Boston Mayor Kim Janey to Boston Lyric Opera's Street Stage

This past Saturday, H&B partner Michael Puzo, also board chair at Boston Lyric Opera, welcomed Boston Mayor Kim Janey to BLO’s Street Stage performance on the Rose Kennedy Greenway. Saturday’s program featured the premiere of “my name is Alondra”, with the poetry of Boston’s Youth Poet Laureate, Alondra Bobadilla, having been set to music by local composer and former BLO Emerging Artist, Omar Najmi. The next day saw Street Stage at Mass General in a program given in gratitude to MGH personnel for their tireless work amidst the pandemic. There, BLO artists were joined by cellist Yo-Yo Ma, who gave his time and talent in an expression of thanks to the MGH community and to support BLO’s Street Stage, which is bringing the beauty of opera and the human voice directly to the people of Greater Boston and safely so.
