Horizons for Homeless Children 26th Annual Women’s Breakfast

Hemenway & Barnes is proud to sponsor Horizons for Homeless Children’s 26th Annual Women’s Breakfast on October 10, 2024. This year’s speakers are Andrea Elliott and Dasani Coates.

Andrea Elliott is a Pulitzer-prize winning journalist who has documented the lives of people on the margins of power. Elliott is an investigative reporter for The New York Times and the author of Invisible Child: Poverty, Survival, and Hope in an American City, which won the 2022 Pulitzer Prize in General Nonfiction.

Elliott will be joined by Dasani Coates whose story is shared by Elliott’s book, Invisible Child. Elliott and Coates will speak jointly about their journey together in writing the book and the importance and relevance of Dasani’s story.

Horizons for Homeless Children is the Commonwealth’s leading organization devoted exclusively to serving homeless children. They focus their efforts on helping young children mitigate the trauma and stress associated with homelessness.
