Hemenway & Barnes partners Brad Bedingfield and Eleanor Evans will present “Key Considerations in Accepting and Administering Funding for Race-Based Programs,” at the PGGNE October Monthly Meeting on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

About the Session:

The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision last year striking down race-based affirmative action in college admissions and subsequent litigation have brought heightened attention to nonprofits’ race-based and diversity programs and initiatives. In this session, attorneys Brad Bedingfield and Eleanor Evans will review the legal framework that applies to race-conscious programs and initiatives; evaluate the impact of recent legal developments; and offer suggestions on actions your organization can take to assess and address risk in this area while staying true to its mission.
