Trust Operations Superior Subject Matter Expert
The Trust Operations (Ops) Superior Subject Matter Expert is a Director-level role requiring exceptional technical expertise in trust operations and securities processing, and mature management and leadership skills. This position is tailored for seasoned professionals who aspire to elevate their career in a professional environment where their contribution will be valued. The highest levels of client confidentiality and elevated service standards are required.
Job Summary:
- Assist the Director of Trust Operations in promoting the long-term growth and strategic direction of the Department, ensuring its alignment with firm-wide goals, implementation of firm-wide initiatives, fostering coordination and collaboration with other departments around the firm.
- Lead and manage all securities processing activities within the trust department, including trade settlement, pricing, risk management, asset movements, record maintenance, reconciliation, reporting, mutual funds, and alternative assets.
- Provide exceptional service to a diverse range of clients, trustees and high-net-worth families, focusing on intricate financial accounting and innovative reporting solutions.
- Model compliance with the firm's policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including a key role in shaping compliancy and conducting high-level reviews and audits.
- Demonstrate unparalleled judgment, problem-solving and independent decision-making.
- Oversee and innovate in the production of complex financial reports, including cutting-edge family office materials and bespoke financial reporting.
- Spearhead the development of new operational processes which drive efficiencies, leverage accounting software and set industry benchmarks.
Position Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Investment Theory or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive, senior level experience in trust operations, financial services, or related industry.
- Deep, comprehensive and cutting-edge knowledge of trust and investment systems required; with extensive experience in systems such as Advent, APX, Moxie, InvestCloud and Unity/G+.
- Masterful communication skills, with a strong emphasis on sophisticated client relations, high-level stakeholder management, and persuasive negotiation.
- Demonstrated leadership, with a history of mentoring, leading projects, and decision making.
- Outstanding organizational acumen with a proven track record of steering high-performance teams towards exceptional achievements.
- Exceptional ability to multitask and prioritize, with an eye for detail and commitment to excellence.
