Trust Operations Generalist II

The Trust Ops Generalist II will play a vital role in providing operational support to Trustees, firm clients, the Wealth Trust team and Hemenway Trust Company. This position requires experience processing complex trust accounts, handling detailed account reconciliations, processing transactions, and upholding strict confidentiality and service standards. This role is ideal for individuals with significant accounting or financial operations experience, looking to further their career in a dynamic and professional environment.

Job Summary:

  • Deliver superior service to internal and external clients, including Trustees and their clients.
  • Facilitate client registrations and provide guidance in online account management.
  • Manage account openings/closures, record-keeping and tax updates and statement reviews.
  • Oversee complex cash processing tasks, including note and mortgage payments, disbursements, receipts, and multi-system reconciliations.
  • Manage securities transactions, free activity/settlements, and position reconciliations.
  • Handle specialized processing tasks, including trustee fee processing and tax payments.
  • Ensure compliance with the firm's policies and procedures.
  • Engage actively in professional development, keeping abreast of accounting and financial system changes.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; trust training highly preferred.
  • 3 to 8 years of work experience in trust operations, financial services, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking processes, compliance regulations, and computer systems.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Direct experience with Advent, APX, Moxie, InvestCloud and Unity/G+ desired.
