Azure Data Solutions Specialist

The Azure Data Solutions Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data architecture and cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role involves working with various data services and tools to ensure efficient data processing, storage, and analysis.

Job Summary:

  • Data Architecture Design: Develop and maintain a scalable Azure/Fabric data architecture, ensuring it aligns with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data streams.
  • Data Integration: Design and implement data integration solutions, including ETL processes, to consolidate data from various sources.
  • Data Storage Solutions: Develop and manage databases, data lakes, and other data storage solutions using Azure services.
  • Data Processing: Use data technologies like Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Azure advanced analytics tools like open AI to process and analyze large datasets.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business partners, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure data solutions comply with security and privacy regulations, implementing necessary measures to protect data.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of data solutions, identifying and resolving any issues.
  • Innovation: Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and industry trends to continuously improve data architecture.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance for the firm, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or relevant work experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on Azure.
  • Proficiency in Azure data services (e.g., Fabric, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage), data modeling and integration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory) and CI/CD tools.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with programming languages such as Python.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred experience:

  • Exposure to other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with advanced analytics and AI tools.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect).
  • Experience in the financial services and/or legal industries
