Boston Bar Foundation’s Casino Night

Boston, MA

Hemenway & Barnes is pleased to sponsor the Boston Bar Foundation’s Casino Night event this year. Casino Night is one of the Boston Bar Foundation’s liveliest events and is attended by over 200 members of the Boston legal community. The event raises proceeds to benefit the M. Ellen Carpenter Fund, which funds the public service programs of the Boston Bar Association including the Summer Jobs Program for Boston youth.

Since 1993, the BBA Summer Jobs Program has arranged paid summer internships in law offices, government agencies and non-profit organizations for high school juniors, seniors and rising college freshmen from Boston Public Schools. They have given nearly 750 young adults the chance to gain valuable insight into the legal world.

Hemenway & Barnes is pleased to have provided funding for a Boston Public School student to work at a legal services office in downtown Boston each summer for the past six years. A summer job can be a critical step in a student’s life and future career.
