Boston Bar Association Annual Meeting 2017

Boston Convention and Exhibition Center

Hemenway & Barnes is proud to sponsor the 2017 Boston Bar Association (BBA) Annual Meeting, one of the largest legal community gatherings of its kind. This year’s Annual Meeting will feature Piper Kerman, author of Orange is the New Black. Piper is an outspoken advocate of criminal justice reform. She has testified in the Senate on solitary confinement and treatment of women in prisons. Piper was also invited to speak at the Obama White House about the need to support and expand re-entry and employment programs nationwide.

Joseph Bierwirth, partner, is co-chair of the Trusts and Estates Steering Committee at the BBA. Brad Bedingfield, counsel, is co-chair of the Tax Exempt Organizations section at the BBA. Edward Notis-McConarty, partner, and Hemenway & Barnes are long-term supporters of the BBA and the affiliated Boston Bar Foundation.
