David Lopes is a corporate paralegal at Hemenway & Barnes. He assists the Corporate and Nonprofit practice groups in all stages of corporate transactions, corporate maintenance, and with the preparation of documents necessary to comply with federal, state and local regulations in the conduct of business activities.
David has assisted attorneys on a variety of transactional matters within the private equity field, including start-ups, mergers, recapitalizations and acquisitions of both assets and stocks.
David has extensive experience in corporate compliance, due diligence, data rooms, pre-closings, closings, and post-closing deadlines. He has worked closely with several venture capital clients and Section 16 public company filing obligations. David has experience preparing and negotiating contracts related to corporate compliance standards within the pharmaceutical sector, preparing complex Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy matters in Massachusetts and residential real estate transactions.
